Europe
with 320 days of sun per year and temperatures ranging from

to its geographical positioning and the Sierra Blanca mountain range
that
surrounds it,
Marbella
enjoys a unique micro climate.
The
rain and cold winds from the Atlantic Ocean are pushed further up the
coast
to the Costa Blanca area.

RONDA
One of the oldest towns in
Spain, originally the capital of a Moorish empire, Ronda is famed for
its spectacular position overlooking the dramatic El Tajo Gorge. It can
trace its origins back to prehistoric times with its rock paintings at
the nearby Caves of Pileta.
The drive from the apartment
takes about 50 minutes, it is well worth spending a day here, the
tourist office in Plaza de Espana has maps and the opening times of the sights. During September the
bullring considered the best in Spain hosts a `Goya Festival` when all
the participants and audience don the costumes of
Goya` s day. As Ronda is
located in the hills it can be cooler than the coast.
The
restaurants serve some of of the
very finest fair in Andalucia

MALAGA
This is the major coastal town
of Analucia, relatively untouched by tourism and the passage
of time. The
refurbishment of the old quarter and the opening of the world class Picasso museum
in 2004 has already accelerated the City`s transformation, making it a
good place to visit.
Plenty of restaurants for all
tastes, Bar el Pimpi near the Picasso
Museum has a beautiful inner courtyard and vaults,
try the local speciality "pescaito frito" an assortment of fresh fried fish.
Other attractions are the vast
Alcazaba, the
Museo Arquelogico with Roman and Moorish artifacts,
Castillo de Gibralfaro a Moorish castle and the Cathedral.
All served by a multi-lingual hop on/off
tourist bus see www.malaga-tour.com Walking
tours leave from the tourist office in La Plaza de la Marina opposite the
port at 11am
and 16.30pm
For Picasso museum opening times see
